Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is an important part of what we do at Organica, and our Delhi office has taken advantage of an opportunity given their location in one of the densest cities in the world. They spent a day last spring visiting children in a low-income part of town.

Team India visited the SWATI Project, an NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) where underprivileged children right from the ages of 4 to 18 years are given additional help and training in studies & extracurricular activities along with career guidance so as to empower them to be better geared to succeed in today’s competitive world. Team members from India took the initiative of spending quality time with these children and gave them crash (but effective) courses on topics like optimum water utilization, sanitation, hygiene, the environment, arts and craft, music, fitness and career guidance. It was an opportunity to share with the public what it is that we do on a day to day basis to a very different audience within an entirely different set of circumstances.

It was a very heart-warming & humbling experience for our team who look forward to being associated with such noble causes, both personally and professionally in near future.

The children and the Management of SWATI Project were equally happy and appreciative of our Team’s efforts and the knowledge they gained that day.

About the SWATI Project

SWATI is a project of Rajeev Neelu Kachwaha Public Charitable Trust that runs in the two slums of Delhi; One in Tigri Khanpur bordering Faridabad and second at Kanakdurga, near R.K. puram n South Delhi. The main thrust of project SWATI was to cater to the educational needs of the children, through which they hope to address other issues as well. Through committed efforts of the organisation, thousands of children have been mainstreamed. The organization is also taking up the issue of malnutrition and is instrumental in creating awareness amongst the community about importance of sanitation and hygiene. Today SWATI fulfils the needs of these children through various programmes like Non-Formal Education (NFE), Balwadis (Play Schools), computer literacy programme, typing, tailoring and stitching programs.
