Organica is currently looking to fill a Site Engineer in North India reporting to the Manager Project Engineering – India

Job Overview

A Site Engineer is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations at construction sites, ensuring that work progresses according to project specifications, schedule, and safety standards. This role requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication to coordinate between various teams (internal and external) and stakeholders.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Ensuring that construction activities are in line with the project latest approved drawings.
  • Site Supervision: Supervise / Inspection of Organica supplied material mainly Carrier Units, Plants Basket, Plants, clay, mesh, Diffusers, Control cabinets, instruments, Disc filters, Lamella. Ensuring that work is carried out to the required standards and specifications. Also inspect the implementation of Piping work, PID as per the latest drawings.
  • Assisting the Engineers visiting from abroad during the commissioning stage and if needed conducting the testing on the Waste water for the required parameters at the influent and effluent stages using Test kits and instruments (handling this task will be taught in case no past experience).
  • Ability to participate in dry and wet testing of Equipments like pumps, blowers, thickeners, screens, travel bridges etc. supplied and installed by Client will be an added advantage.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work and materials used on-site, ensuring compliance with prescribed building codes, health, safety, and environmental standards. Maintaining the site visit / progress reports in accordance.
  • Planning and Scheduling: Assist in planning the sequence of installation activities materials and equipment supplied by Organica.
  • Problem-Solving: Address on-site issues, including technical difficulties, and implement solutions in a timely manner.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulation such that the Work Environment is safe for the Organica Engineers and Management team.
  • Communication: Serve as the main point of contact between the Organica Office Team and client. Regularly update progress.
  • Site Inspections and Reports: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
  • Cost Control: Assist in managing project costs, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.

 

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in construction site management (2-5 years preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of construction processes, site layouts, PID and design principles. Familiarity with construction software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Safety Regulations: Familiarity with health and safety standards and regulations on construction sites.
  • Certification: Relevant certifications (e.g., First Aid, Construction Safety) would be a plus.

Work Conditions

  • Physical Demands: Must be able to work in a construction site environment, which may involve standing, walking, and occasional outdoor exposure.
  • Travel: Frequent travel to and from the site may be required.
